| Last December I signed up and posted here trying to find a dash panel for my dad's tractor for christmas. I never found one, but I did buy him some repop'd gauges. Anyways, it's a bummer, but he passed away recently. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to keep it. So, I apologize in advance if this is against forum etiquite, but any input on value and good venue for selling would be appreciated. You can PM or email me if you prefer. Here's what I know:
- it was basically a farmer's amateur resto that my dad bought a number of years ago. As I recall engine was rebuilt at that time. I bet he's only put on a handful of hours on it since (if that), but it does get fired up for a spin around the yard every few weeks (I just did so last week). He bought it with the intention of participating in parades, which sadly never happened. Here's what he did after purchasing
new tires (still have nipples on them), while rims were entirely sandblasted and painted while the tires were off replaced points with electronic ignition unit painted some odds/ends and replaced a panel or part here or there and added some of the decals brand new parade seat (still has plastic on it) gauge holes were empty so he put a couple in
- Here's what I know about it:
think it's '61 or '62 think he said it was a "Special" 3 point hitch everything in good working order starts right up, runs and drives real well. (Like I said, I fire it up and take it for a spin around the property whenever I visit him)
- Here's the bad stuff of which I'm aware
it has an alternator, which depending on if you are a resto guy or not might be a bad thing some of the sheetmetal (namely hood) has some pitting dash panel was cut so it could be removed w/o removing steering wheel some of the wiring isn't "pretty" (although it is sound) gauges are functioning but not correct that's about all i can think, otherwise it's a pretty nice looking tractor

| Hello, First off sorry to hear about your father passing away, my thoughts and prayers go out to your and your family.
As for the tractor there the serial number on the engine block can give you the year but it looks odd, The shifter on the transmission says it’s a 1963-65 model but the oil filter says it’s a 1960-62, but other than that your family restoration on looks very good.
As for the value the highest price I ever seen on a 1010 is about $5,000 but most seem to go for about $3,500 to $4,000 in very good shape and mechanically sound which is what I would rate yours as.

| Thanks for the condolences, and the info.
I found the plate on the engine. And yes, according to it, it's a '63 RUS. Kind of a bummer on the price. I don't recall what my dad paid, but I thought it was more than that (then there were tires and some other stuff). Oh well. Thanks again for the info.
If you have any suggestions on good places to list, other than ebay I suppose, that'd be great.
